Batman continues to be on the mend, and Jean-Paul is standing in for the great Detective. Jean-Paul allows himself to be drawn into the persona of the Batman and begins to loose his concept of justice. Robin is torn between letting Bruce know, or stay with Jean-Paul to keep him from getting killed. Neither Bruce Wayne or Jean-Paul Valley are getting what either expect, and Robin is on the wire. With Batman down, Bane began attacking and absorbing gangs across Gotham City. Dr. Kinsolving was asked to be Bruce Wayne's personal doctor for the immediate future while he recovered from his "car accident." Bane's crew caught Catwoman; she was asked to pay Bane tribute. With Bruce's blessing, Tim asked Jean Paul to fill in as Batman. Wally finds out everything about the so called Barry Allen, but what will Wally do about it? Wally West has proven that Professor Zoom is the fake Barry Allen , but the Zoom that faces Wally now is not the same man that killed Iris . Eobard reveals that he is from the future and that he saw Barry as a hero and even had surgery to look like Barry and stole the Cosmic Treadmill . He then gave himself super speed and came the the 20th century to meet Barry Allen. But something went wrong and he arrived years after Barry's death. He went to the Flash Museum where he learned that he was going to become the man that killed Iris and was going to be killed by Barry. Eobard went crazy and thought that he was Barry Allen. When he remembered who he was he deduced the only way to survive was to stay in the present and become Barry Allen. Eobard is about to kill Wally when Max Mercury , Johnny Quick and Hal Jordan arrive and force Eobard to run away. They take Wally to the hospital where Jay Garrick is laid up. Then they see on the news that Eobard is attacking Linda and Wally rushes off to save her. This time beats Wally up and forces him to chase after. But Wally has a plan and tricks Eobard into thinking that he used the treadmill to kill Eobard as a baby. Eobard uses the treadmill to stop Wally but is launched into the future with no memory of where he was and Wally reveals he just hid. Epilogue: The book The Life of Barry Allen was written by Iris Allen three years later.

The Kobra Kronicles, Part 2: Acute Schizophrenia Paranoia Blues Peacemaker and Deathstroke are fighting off Kobra troops from last issue. They make their escape, and get separated. Peacemaker finds two children while fighting off a Kobra trooper mutated into a snake creature. Deathstroke arrives in the nick of time, and the kill the mutated Kobra trooper. On his body, they find a lead for an electronics fair in the Czech Republic. Meanwhile, Kobra hires Deadshot to kill Peacemaker and Deathstroke. Jade and Obsidian – Image is Everything Jade was hired to use her power and act in a commercial for a perfume, and Jade invites Obsidian to watch the results. When leaving, Jade, Obsidian, and the film crew are trapped in a never-ending world of Escher-like proportions. The creator of this trap is named Mister McEscher, a film creator jealous of Jade. Jade and Obsidian defeat McEscher, but the commercial crew offer him a tryout for a soda commercial. Notes: 48 page issue. The issue starts off with Batman walking away from a fiery fight with the Firefly . On the next page, it shows the Scarecrow and the Joker watching the news, arguing over what to do with their hostage Mayor Krol , the mayor of Gotham, who is in shock because of Scarecrows Fear Gas. They soon decide to use the Mayor to lure Batman to the Gotham river tunnels. The scene changes to Harvey Bullock and a couple other cops, outside the Mayors Mansion, waiting for a Bomb Squad to scope out the home. Harvey becomes impatient, and begins to open the Mayors rigged door, when Batman swoops down just in time to save Bullock from the explosions. Batman is soon gone and on his way to the Gotham river tunnel, where the Joker and Scarecrow riding in an ice cream truck with the mayor, are trying to escape the police. The villains get out of there vehicle with the mayor, and it explodes, killing a couple Gotham police. The joker fires a heat seeking missile to a semi-truck, and the truck explodes, causing more chaos. The villains go to a phone booth, and call Commissioner Gordon . The Mayor tells Gordon to send the National Guard to the tunnels. The villains soon flee, but Batman is not far. After defeating the Scarecrow, and being sprayed with his Fear Gas, Batman seeks revenge on the Joker, for the death of Jason Todd , the second robin. After shooting a machine gun at the tunnels, the villains again flee, and leave Batman to deal with the flooding tunnel, and with the Mayor. Notes: Cover dated Early July 1993. The real identity of the impostor revealed! The man who is supposedly Barry Allen organizes a prison break to assemble an army and take down the city. It's up to Wally West to stop him and solve the mystery of the fake Flash. "The Return of Barry Allen" part 5. Wally West now knows that the real Barry Allen is still dead and the man who is posing as his uncle is faster then Wally, so Johnny Quick tries to teach him his formula. Max Mercury tries to teach him the Zen of Speed. but it is Jay Garrick that shows him that the way to be faster is inside of Wally. Wally then tells the other who Barry really is but he needs their help to prove it. Wally runs off to the Flash Museum and the rest go to find Barry. The Barry imposter has gone to Central City State Penitentiary, to release and arm the convicts inside. Luckily Jay, Max and Johnny show up before anyone gets hurt. During the fight Jay tears the symbol off Barry costume forcing him to flee back to the Flash Museum where Wally is waiting for him. Wally throws the fake Barry a Flash ring and tells him he found the book he had dropped, The Life of Barry Allen. Realizing the gig is up the fake Barry reveals is is really Professor Zoom

Jay Garrick, Max Mercury and Johnny Quick team up to try and bring down the man who claims to be a returned-from-the-grave Barry Allen, but whose recent behavior has proved that's a lie! "The Return of Barry Allen" part 4. Wally West is still reeling from the fact that Barry Allen is back from the dead and that his former idle left him for dead in a Combine deathtrap. And now Wally learns that Barry is battling Hal Jordan , and destroying the Flash Museum . Wally isn't sure what to do but luckily Jay Garrick formed his own team to stop Barry. While Barry is trying to kill some of Central City's citizens, Jay, Johnny Quick and Max Mercury save the day. Barry throws a handful of gravel at Johnny injuring him and hits Max with an I-beam while he is trying to save a construction worker. Barry then causes a helicopter to fall on Jay while he is trying to save the crew. Meanwhile, Wally walks the streets and finds himself in the alley that Barry found himself in when he returned from the dead. there is finds a book that has Iris's name in and learns the secret of the Barry Allen impostor.

Following the massive Arkham breakout, the Mad Hatter is the first to make a move. He sends Film Freak out to find out who sprung them from confinement, then invotes Batman to a little tea party.
